As your “weight management coach”, I use a completely individualized, focused, 4-step program that has proven to be highly successful with hundreds of patients.  The combination of powerful yet gentle acupuncture treatments with focused troubleshooting sessions gets to the “core” of  issues that have kept the weight on in the past.

Success depends on many individualized factors.  Most of us know what to eat—or what not to eat.  But there is always fine-tuning that can be done to determine the right nutrition for your “type”-- and for your lifestyle.

Hate to cook?  Hate to workout?  Hate to count calories?  No problem. 

We can work with you and your own requirements.  As you well know, details like these can “make or break” a successful  treatment plan!      .

Here’s how it works…


Step One:  What, where, when, and how?

What’s holding you back... where do you want to go…when will you ready (if not NOW)…and how are you going to get there?  


From the first visit, we will honestly address many of the issues that contribute to your current weight, such as:

  •Is extra weight a recent event or a lifelong struggle?
  •Who will support you as you work to achieve your goal?
  •What is your ideal weight, and is this a truly realistic goal?
  •What are the stressors in your life and how do they affect your weight and overall health?
  •Do you want to “turn over a new leaf” today, or take measured “baby steps” over time until you reach your goal?
  •What are you postponing in your life “until the weight is lost”? What’s “on hold”?
  •What foods would you really love to include in an eating plan?
  •How will you generally reward yourself for positive results?
  •What lifestyle changes are you honestly willing to make—and what are you not willing to do?
  •What safe, “non-speedy” supplements might help your digestion, stress and metabolism?
  •What does your medical history say about the healthy balance you need to achieve?

 It is these types of questions that help to define the course of your treatment – and success.

Step Two:  Take Action…Schedule Your Appointments

Contact Roberta at the Park Avenue Center for WellBeing to uncover crucial information that is usually not seen or identified by traditional means.  We’ll get right down to work and answer the questions above.  Then, we’ll look at many of the possible influences on your present condition, such as:

Also offered is the extremely popular, successful Neuroemotional Technique (NET), designed to discover blocks that your brain recognizes as default settings.  Put into place as protective measures, these may no longer serve you and may, in fact, be holding you back from realizing your goals.

Step Three:  Relax…Prepare to Reboot Your System

Acupuncture or acupressure is used to gently help your body achieve a balanced state—and to win the war against addictions and cravings.

Step Four: Take-Home Extras…as Seen on TV!

After the treatments, you’ll be offered my signature “Acupuncture to Go”, tiny, removable reinforcements that can be gently stimulated if there’s a craving.  When I was featured on Fox TV News for using this technique, I explained that these subtle reminders may be taken off by the patient o r left on for a few days as virtually invisible reinforcements of the addiction-busting part of the treatment.  Patients report that they really work! 

Next, you’ll receive lots of information on how you can quickly jump start your plan to see results quickly and safely.  Books, CDs, and other tools are discussed.  Then we’ll talk about natural additions to your program.  These patient tested products are entirely optional, safe, and may help to fine-tune your progress.

Why use EFT for Weight loss

I use two healing tools for gaining better control over your weight management skills. EFT- Emotional Freedom Techniques and Hypnosis

EFT is one of the many healing tools to use when you want to lose weight

EFT can reduce immediate food cravings that seem irresistible. As the tapping helps to eliminate these cravings and obsessions, a key component of compulsive overeating is being addressed; self- mastery becomes easier, and self- confidence is enhanced. Needless to say, as the cravings for high calorie foods are reduced, you begin to lose weight.

EFT is an excellent tool for daily stress management, and can help you reduce the everyday stress that causes you to reach out for food to tranquilize feelings of anxiety.

EFT loosens unconscious and conscious irrational beliefs about food, weight, or hereditary factors that keep you wed to negative images of yourself and to the self-fulfilling expectation in the inevitability of remaining overweight.

EFT addresses and eliminates negative or distorted body images that reinforce weight problems. It can also enhance the visualization process, which is an important component of successful weight loss maintenance.

EFT can target and eliminate the underlying needs you have to hang on to your extra weight for emotional self- protection, or the perceived security of remaining “hidden” within the extra weight. Once these perceived needs are neutralized, you can emotionally, and then physically, “release” the extra weight.

EFT can be used to neutralize issues  from the past that have led to a conditioned response to overeating. EFT can dilute the emotional charge attached to childhood traumas.
